Download

The CHIMES module consists of several components that can be downloaded from the following Bit Bucket repositories. These repositories are all publicly accessible, so you do not need to create an account to download them. Please see the Download section of the User Guide for more information on how to download CHIMES.

CHIMES source code

The CHIMES source code can be downloaded from the main CHIMES repository here.

CHIMES data files

These data files contain the various reaction rate coefficients, photoionisation cross sections etc. that are needed for the CHIMES reaction network. They can be downloaded from the CHIMES data repository here.

CHIMES driver

This python script can be used to run the CHIMES module as a stand-alone library. It has several applications including to run CHIMES on simulation snapshots in post-processing (either to compute the equilibrium abundances of the gas particles, or to follow the non-equilibrium chemical evolution of the gas particles at fixed density); to produce equilibrium abundance tables and cooling tables as a function of density, temperature and metallicity; or to follow the non-equilibrium chemical evolution over a grid of physical parameters. This python script can be downloaded from the CHIMES driver repository here.

CHIMES tools

This repository contains various tools and scripts that can be useful for working with CHIMES, such as plotting scripts and routines for parsing the output CHIMES abundance arrays. These tools are not required for running the CHIMES module. They can be downloaded here.
